DAY TWO.
Today was another packed up day. We had the garment district tour which I found interesting. From the tour I understood how hard a seamstress' job can be, having a mother as a tailor I now understand the unresponsive answers whenever I asked her a question whilst she was working. I didn't know there were so many machines for specific fabrics and patterns!
Below are a few images from the Garment District.

We also visited Modern Vice, an upcoming New York leather shoe company, where we had a tour around their factory and offices. Possibility of a 'next big thing' idea?

After the tour was over, we decided to take the subway to the other side of New York and visit the 9/11 memorial. It was an emotional yet educational experience and we were glad we had visited the memorial site and museum.

Weather update! Coming back from the 9/11 memorial site it was -12 and I cannot say how we managed to get back to the hotel and get food...maybe that dunkin doughnut for dessert did the trick..
